The first Fair Trails® Explorer Tours have started and we are live in Nepal, even if most of us are only watching from afar.
Our strategic partners at Pilum/digital are also on the trail of snow leopards and hill tribe cultures, providing us with daily updates and fascinating insights into Explorer Tours as reception permits. Get to the live feed here..
We are excited and super happy to be back on the road with our brave Fair Trails® Explorers, discovering authentic glimpses of remote valleys on beautiful treks that are off the beaten path. Traveling together for a better world, creating responsible travel experiences and passing them on to our guests is the goal of Fair Trails® Explorer Tours and Fair Trails® Experiences. All in harmony with nature and the local population in order to achieve a sustainable impact and positive effect on site with our experiences. This is what sets us apart and what the Fair Trails® brand stands for.

The Sherpa Heritage Trail
The Sherpa Heritage Trail leads our Fair Trails® Explorer and Trail Angel Stefan, together with his 9 Explorers through the Khumbu to the roof of the world. Breathtaking views of the highest mountains of the planet await the troop here. But not only the mighty mountain world opens up to the crew, but also the fascinating and traditional mountain people of the Sherpa.
.
As the name of our trail suggests, this trail is all about Sherpa history. Our explorers get authentic and unique insights into their daily life, their far-reaching culture rich in tradition and long history. They immerse themselves in the culture deeply influenced by Buddh

The Snow Leopard Trail & Local Life Trail
On the trails of the biggest wild cats of Nepal, along the mightiest mountain ranges, deep into the jungle. These two trails offer our Fair Trails® explorers, accompanied by our Trail Angel and Nepal expert Günter, a true diversity of natural beauty, animals, plants and Nepalese peoples, which are distributed like a multifaceted mosaic across the Himalayan state.

At the Local Life Trail, not only are traditions explained, but hands on. Seen here is our Explorer troop with the Tikka Blessing. Tikka is a blessing symbolized by the red mark on your forehead, which is red powder mixed with yogurt and rice grains. It is supposed to bring you luck and blessings on your further ways © Trail Angels
Impact first!
In line with our mission to create meaningful travel experiences with sustainable impact, we strongly believe that traveling for a better world is possible and that through responsible travel experiences, one can gain experiences for a lifetime and become part of the solution and not part of the problem. With these two Explorer Tours, the foundation has been laid to make a local impact. With a part of the earnings three local projects will be supported. First, it will support the conservation project of the renowned Snow Leopard Conservancy. In addition, at the Sherpa Heritage Trail a resident yak farm is financially supported to keep this historical tradition alive and at the Local Life Trail a school is supplied with water filters to guarantee a safe drinking water supply for the students.
If you’ve acquired a taste for adventure and would like to join us on a journey of discovery, five more Explorer Tours await you in 2022. Perhaps you’ll be one of the Fair Trails® Explorers on the upcoming discovery tours. Click here to see our Explorer Tours.
And if you want to know more about our actual impact and how we are changing the world of travel in a positive and sustainable way, our Impact page is the right place for you to find out more.
