WHAT COULD BE MORE INSPIRING THAN WORKING WITH COMMITTED PARTNERS ON EXCITING PROJECTS FOR THE SUSTAINABLE TOURISM OF THE FUTURE? HERE WE INFORM YOU ABOUT THE THREE MOST RECENT PROJECTS!
WThis year we have already given you a Overview overview of our current sustainable tourism projects, with a focus on transnational and cross-border projects. In the meantime, we have been commissioned with other exciting projects, all of which reflect our mission and values: Sustainability, high regional added value, nature-friendly valorisation of natural and cultural resources and concrete models for climate-friendly product design. It is simply encouraging that more and more responsible people in tourism are recognising the need for action for the travel of the future and trusting the expertise and passion of Trail Angels as a development and implementation partner.
Today we are pleased to present this current project in sustainable tourism to you:
#1 INDIALPS
BIndialps is an Interreg project of the ‘Austria – Italy’ programme. The project partners Region Villach Tourismus GmbH and the Dobratsch Nature Park are responsible for a work package that involves the further development of the Dobratsch circular hiking trail and solution models for nature park-compatible visitor guidance in the summit area of the Dobratsch. In the course of a bidding process, Trail Angels was commissioned with the technical realisation of this challenging work package. The results should provide a tangible impetus for value-adding, sustainable tourism in the destination and in the area surrounding the nature park, as well as opening up prospects for relieving the pressure on the summit area of the Dobratsch.
#2 Destination Waldviertel
The Waldviertel in Lower Austria is already one of the flagship regions for sustainable and regenerative tourism in Austria. Nevertheless, the destination management has decided to further consolidate this profile by developing three bookable flagship products for sustainable outdoor tourism in the activity fields of ‘hiking’, ‘mountain biking’ and ‘stage cycling’. To this end, we Trail Angels were commissioned to contribute our expertise in experience design and product integration up to the ‘Ready for Booking’ status. An exciting task in which we received significant support from the dedicated team at Destination Waldviertel.
#3 Gastein Trail
One of the ‘classics’ among our development projects is the adaptation, further development, making bookable and sustainable management of existing long-distance hiking trails. Our latest project, the Gastein Trail, certainly falls into this category. The Gastein Trail was created under the leadership of the tourism associations of the Gastein Valley and is a perfect addition to the supra-regional long-distance hiking trails ‘Salzburger Almenweg’ and ‘Hohe Tauern Panorama Trail’. Promising prerequisites for creating a regional flagship product for a sustainable hiking product in the Gastein Valley by making the Gastein Trail bookable. If everything goes according to plan, the Gastein Trail will be bookable as early as the 2025 hiking season.
