Transnationales Projektmanagement in times of Corona

25. Jan. 2021

The last S-Com meeting for the transnational INTERREG project "Amazon of Europe Bike Trail" in February 2020 in Sveti Martin na Muri/Croatia. A picture, yet without the social distancing, which will not exist like this for a long time. How do we deal with such a situation?

Almost like memories from a long time ago and hopefully soon possible again: Transnational, physical workshops like this one at the Amazon of Europe Bike Trail ©Amazon of Europe Bike Trail

This is especially true for our transnational projects in times of temporarily closed borders. Here is a short status report:

Amazon of Europe Bike Trail
The work plans for this fascinating long-distance bike trail through Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia and Serbia have been adapted to the situation in coordination with the lead partner ISKRIVA. The development of the booking infrastructure and products continues as planned, while all activities in the project region are postponed until the end of the travel restrictions.

Like many others, the Trail Angels team uses modern communication tools for the home office and never allows their good mood to be taken away.
The Amazon of Europe Bike Trail is supported by the funds of the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme (project code DTP2-002-2.2).
Fair Trails® Himalayas
The project for the development of sustainable trekking tourism in Nepal, Bhutan and India can continue as planned. Although the planned Media Production Field Trip had to be postponed from April to probably November, the refinement of the Fair Trails® business model and trail development together with our partner ENNOVENT continues without restrictions. The work in the field will be carried out by the ENNOVENT Nepal team and our Fair Trails® experts.

Unfortunately not possible for the time being: Inspiring encounters during the Fair Trails® explorations. In the picture: Trail Angel Günter on the Local Life Trail in the Lower Himalayas.
Fair Trails Himalayas is a business partnership supported by the Austrian Development Agency, the official Austrian Agency for Development Cooperation. www.entwicklung.at

Sustainable tourism in the countries of the Southeast Balkans Preparations for this project are continuing as planned in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). As with the other projects, when the project can be started on site after the final contract has been drawn up depends on the Corona-related travel regulations.
Our motivation to work worldwide for the design of sustainable tourism as a contribution to a sustainable world has increased even more due to the Corona pandemic. Because we are convinced that only an ecologically, socially and economically balanced sustainable tourism will have a place on our planet in the future.

We will keep you informed about the progress of the projects!
